DR. Andrea, MA, CPC, ARGS(Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist), & Interfaith Minister
Dr. Andrea graduated with a Masters Degree from Hofstra University for Speech Language Pathology where she worked in a variety of settings for over 15 years. She then completed 2 years of Seminary at the world renowned One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in Manhattan, NY. Dr. Andrea provides spiritual coaching and direction to those looking to seek a deeper meaning and purpose and helps to expand their knowledge and application of spiritual principles in their lives in an effective way.
With the influx of grieving people seeking her services, Dr. Andrea went for extensive training in grief and loss through the American Academy of Grief Counseling. She was then led to the next level of training through The Grief Recovery Institute (GRI) where she was introduced to The Grief Recovery Method. Dr. Andreaquickly advanced through the ranks of the GRI and was selected to become an Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist and has been chosen by the GRI as one of a select group to now become a Trainer of the Grief Recovery Method for the entire East Coast.
To date, Dr. Andrea has helped hundreds of grievers both individually and in group settings to walk through the very difficult path of grief and come out the other side to reintegrate into living a life of meaning and purpose. Dr. Andrea also gives talks to other professionals on topic of grief and loss, facilitates workshops, and has her own private practice.
Dr. Andrea and her family suffered the devastating loss of her younger brother back in 2018 due to complications with addiction. She is exquisitely aware and sensitive to those afflicted and affected by substance use disorder. To date her entire family has gone through The Grief Recovery Method and has found the joy in living again.
Dr. Andrea has been practicing therapy for 10 years working with a variety of client concerns, relational issues, and clinical diagnoses. She enjoys working with diverse individuals, couples, families, and groups regarding highly sensitive issues and experiences. Although she has worked with a variety of client problems, the focus of her work is related to issues of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief & loss, historical trauma, work related stress, and substance abuse.
