Tempany Andersen is a psychotherapist with over 11 years in the field.  She has a private practice in Boca Raton, Florida where she specializes in addiction, sexual concerns issues, trauma, and mental health.  She has worked as a primary therapist at Caron Renaissance and Caron Ocean drive for over eight years before her transition into private practice.  As a primary therapist, she facilitated daily group sessions with clients, individual sessions with clients, treatment planning, case management, and aftercare planning in addition to work with the families.  As Lead Primary Therapist at Ocean Drive, she worked closely with clients and families of high net worth to help address pre-existing barriers to recovery and achieve lasting systemic change.  Originally from Arizona, Tempany earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2007 and maintained a private practice in Boca Raton, Florida from 2008 – 2010. Tempany is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Sex Therapist, Certified Addictions Professional, Qualified Supervisor, and EMDR trained. Along with specializations in sex, addiction, and trauma therapy, Tempany developed expertise in counseling Native American groups while working with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Tempany has written articles and led professional trainings on working with clients with sexual concerns and substance abuse. Tempany has also led a workshop on “Marriage and Recovery” hosted by the Jewish Recovery Center Retreat and Shabbaton. Tempany was a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Florida in the role of wish granter for the past 13 years.
