Joe Hudson, LMSW, CIHC, CASAC-T

Wellness Coach

Joe is a licensed Social Worker and Certified International Health Coach with over 5 years of experience in addictions counseling.

After achieving over 10 years of “success” in the corporate world, Joe found himself with a variety of unhealthy behaviors that had become habits.  Tired, stressed, and depressed, it was clear to Joe that he was neither happy nor healthy.  He knew there had to be a better way of living and wanted to find it.  That’s when he began to experience a personal health transformation by making a series of lifestyle changes and developing a new routine filled with healthy habits.

During this process, Joe made the decision to change careers.  He wanted to help others, who were experiencing similar struggles, find hope and begin living the life they want to live.  Joe returned to college and earned a second B.S., studying Human Development/Psychology at SUNY Empire State College in New York City.  Following this, Joe earned a Masters in Social Work from New York University.  During this time, Joe also studied at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York City and became a Certified International Health Coach.  He now passionately shares the healing power of lifestyle change through habits with the rest of the world.

He specializes in coaching young adults who feel stuck in life.  Whether it is an old habit they want to let go of or a new habit they want to develop, Joe’s clients come to him ready to move forward toward living a better life.

Joe believes that all goals and aspirations can be achieved with the right set of habits and routine.  Instead of focusing on achieving a single goal, Joe helps clients create a system of habits that lead to the results they want. His clients can then use this empowering approach in all areas of their lives.  He uses a blended approach of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients get clear on what it is they want and what set of actions will lead them to achieve that.  He then offers support and accountability in helping clients achieve consistency in those behaviors until they become habits.
